Thanks to all who voted for me or otherwise supported my 2006 bid to win the Republican nomination for Maryland's 8th Congressional District.  And special thanks to the voters of Maryland State Legislative District 16 who elected me to serve a four-year term on the local and state Republican Central Committees!

Augustus Alzona, enlightened conservative and "Catholics for Steele" volunteer, had endorsed former Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele for the US Senate.

Augustus Alzona had endorsed Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. and Lt. Governor candidate, Kristen Cox, Secretary of the Department of Disabilities, for their nomination and election in the 2006 Maryland Gubernatorial Primary and General elections.

Kris especially thanked Augustus Alzona for being the first and only one of Maryland's candidates, sensitive enough to the needs of the visually impaired and disabled to make sure that ALL the data on his web site are accessible to them, too.  Augustus Alzona had the ONLY candidate web site in Maryland fully compliant with W3C and Section 508 accessibility standards.

Augustus Alzona was the ONLY candidate in the Maryland, US House of Representatives, District 8 race, to rate 100% "SUPPORT" of the Pro-Life, Education, Social Justice and International/Military Issues in the 2006 Maryland Catholic Conference Voter's Guide on a broad range of public policy issues of interest to Catholics!
